Some people need more than 80 Gb of storage without having to take a line of credit.

120GB SSD is $42. Equip that and a 1TB HDD and you're basically set. Considering the price of RAM these days, a SSD+HDD doesn't require a "line of credit".

I have that setup - 120gb OS SSD and 1.5TB of HDD storage, didn't need a credit card for that one.

Yes, MS should look into optimizing performance of its piss poor OS.

Tell me then, you wizard, how can you optimise a 2TB Seagate HDD? Because damn, I'd love to know, even though 2TB is freekin huge for an OS and Seagate drives are known to be total crap.

Putting an OS on a 2TB HDD shouldn't even be possible to prevent threads like this, it's absolutely stupid and you deserve the performance penalties.
