My preps to date, what am I missing?

I certainly respect that and I am happy for you! That said, rural living is risky in that sense. Wildfires are a fact of life, especially in the West. So is seasonal flooding, etc.

Since you seem to be investing into hyper-long-term preparedness at this point (1+ year), I'd try to beef up short-term preps for evacuating on a short notice, and for unexpected expenses in case the insurance doesn't pay out, doesn't pay quickly, or doesn't pay enough.

I do worry that many people who buy rural parcels to live their dreams are also often the ones who refuse to leave when the evacuations begin, because they have nothing else to look forward to...
