It's a mystery why Peterson thinks so highly of Huxley. I don't think Huxley would think very highly of him.

Honestly, Vargas Llosa is a discreditted author, he has very lame books and essays, he had some cool novels and short-stories but none of them were really original or near to be considered a turning point like Pedro Páramo or 100 años de soledad, and since then he has gained popularity and world fame because of his ideology, and his books have decreased in quality, his essays have points in common with Peterson anti-postmodernism ideas, peterson would not get better reputation from quoting him
