.i didn't mean to sleep naked that one time. i was just wearing a pair of really loose boxers and the AC wasn't on because the power was out. and i was tossing an turning so they came off in the middle of the night.

it was storming really hard and sometime probably around 2am, after a particularly loud thunderclap there was a ruckus. in a daze i went to the window to see if i could see anything. it was mostly dark. really hard to make out through all the rain, but there was a flash of lightning and in that 10th of a second of light i saw that a rather large tree had fallen on a car and against their house. without even thinking i immediately turned from the window and got my crocs on. i didn't even realize i was totally naked. until i was out the front door running across the yard. the car had people in it and was now in the drainage ditch with a large branch ontop of it and the roof caved in. later on i figured out that they had arrived when it was pouring and intended to wait till it calmed down to go inside but fell asleep in the driveway. the girl was easy to get out of the car because she was so petite but the guy was stuck and possibly injured. she went inside and called 911. i tried to talk to the guy to see if he was ok, he was responsive but i couldn't tell if he was just dazed or if he was seriously messed up. another neighbor showed up and we got a crowbar and ripped the door open and pulled him out. i was naked the whole time, It didn't matter. I didn't care and neither did anyone else. later in their garage a woman handed me a towel and i wrapped it about my waist.

shoeless is worse than clothesless.
