I didn't realize how brainwashed by Britney Spears my generation was until about three months ago. I was in the 6th grade when "Hit me baby one more time" was released. First of all, pretend as if your parents wouldn't allow you to watch MTV and you'd never seen the video. The lyrics alone are questionable as fuck! What does "hit me baby one more time" even mean? If you read it the way it sounds, it's begging for domestic violence....? Or it's an innuendo? Why is a sixteen year old girl singing and performing those specific lyrics?

What ended up happening for my group of friends is that we all sort of went through a "slutty phase". The majority of us were virgins and I specifically mean the way we started to dress.
