The only reason I exist in the first place is because of other openly trans people who were braver than me. You don't understand how scared they are, they're fighting a losing war. They can win some battles and we need to keep ourselves safe in the mean time, but the genie isn't going back in the bottle. Even if every trans person magically poofed away right now, knowledge of our existence remains and unless they nuke the whole planet there isn't a feasible way to undo that. And yes I'm sure most cis people would rather do a complete apocalypse to the planet than acknowledge trans people as humans -- most religions have this built-in -- but it just ain't happening.
