Needless to say I am one of the many Eco Anxiety sufferers, and I need more clarity so I can stop panicking.

Well, for the most part it is unlikely that you personally will die from the effects of climate change as long as you live in the first world. Our generation will not face the full effects of climate change. The world is not literally about to end in the next few decades. If by 2030 and 2050 we haven’t met our carbon goals, the world won’t look significantly different than it does today. The reason everyone is panicking is not because the world is about to end, but rather this is truly the last couple of years we have to make a difference before we reach a number of tipping points out of human control. If we hit these tipping points, warming will exceed at a far greater rate than it currently is, and there’s nothing we can do to sop it. So rather, this our last chance to make the climate crisis, well, not a crisis.
