Never ever have I ever...

No worries, I understand why one would get fired up. But I don't feel like the act of voting has to take from my own ideals per sé. I agree that in a perfect world I shouldn't have to stoop to supporting, even just ostensibly, a politician I think is a bad person.

And even though whether democrat or republican, a capitalist candidate is still a gross perpetuator of gluttonous imperialism, isn't it worth the while to try and get the politicians who are (at least ostentatiously and evocatively) advocating for mass reductions in the rights of minority groups and denying the presence of environmental threats to stay OUT of power? Acts of terror in the US for example are predominantly conservative, While we prepare to take actual direct action, I don't see it as invalidating to our own ideals or our own ideology to do what is really a small task that is immediately in our power to try and keep conservatives out of office. Because we can't keep both out, not yet.

I don't think that "Let the right wing take the State and every kind of shit that happens is their fault" is a good take. Isn't that in itself "buying in" to the system?
