Would it be more cost effective to buy a better motorcycle or modify my current one? I absolutely LOVE the shape of my GZ250, I've test ridden some friends' bikes and mine is by far the most comfortable. But 20HP is NOT cutting it. It's my first bike, I didn't know how fast you can outgrow that engine.

I'm about to get a lot of tools for free from my grandfather, who can't use them anymore due to Parkinson's. I don't know exactly what I'm in for, but my dad says that I'll be able to do almost anything myself once I have them. Would it make more sense economically to buy a bigger bike now, or start learning how to build, and gradually swap out parts over time?
