I started in Silver elite and now im LEM + and how i did it was :

Be excited too play , don't care if you lose or win just try to learn something every game even if you lose. Get some friends or just add people that you meet in MM , Im a pretty big troll and i always try to imitate a russian and i troll alot , And most people add me after the game. So i always had people too play with because i was serious and entertaining.

And try to learn from watching some streams and pro matches etc , If you are totally new i don't think watching pro games are that important too you , The most important thing is that you play your own game and figure out a way to get on a decent level at least. Like Gold nova 3+ or something , Then you can actually start to tryhard with smokes/positions etc etc.

Current meta is pretty much :

T side pistol , If you get bomb plant but lose pistol round , you full eco 2nd round and buy 3rd round.

If you get lose pistol round as T without geting bomb plant , Go for a force buy with tec9 / kevlar on the 2nd round and try to rush something down.

And on ct side if you win pistol round i recommend that you buy a SMG , Like Ump/P90 or MP9 on 2nd round with kevlar + HELMET , It's pretty annoying too play the anti eco without a helmet if you are unlucky. And the SMG'S are pretty good now a days :)

If you lose pistol round as CT , Ask your team if they wanna force buy , Kevlar+fiveseven etc ( 90 % of the games you force buy as CT on 2nd round if you lose pistol) but you can eco 2nd and 3rd round if you want an awp or something. But those force buys are realy strong and you win them pretty often.
