New Dev Post - Changes Coming to Packs with 4.1

Yes, I understand supply and demand. My point was, the new cube thingies will replace the high supply, low demand items with something that it unlikely to go down so far in demand as the current bronze items tend to do. Not that I believe that they will be valueable, I expect a complete trash droprate of interesting things in them. Just that their price might be more stable in the long run.

So if the cubes hold price better than bronze armour sets it's less frustrating for buyers to buy packs late in a circle and therefore gives them a higher incentive to still buy them eventhough the packs have been on the market for a while. That's obviously speculation and I can picture myself being completely off here and the only thing cubes will do, is to allow BW to get away with even less work for the same money.

The more disturbing trend is the inflation of a hundred credits compared to 2012. It was previously pointed out: Hypercrates went for ~2-2.5 million when they released. Now they are 9-12 million. A simple armor from a 200CC pack can be worth as much as fifteen million total (Darth Malgus armour set). That's a very crazy inflation over the past year.

That's just how inflatation works overall in MMOs, not sure what there is to be concerned about? The reason is simple that with every expansion the game gives out more credits to make the "new" content more attractive. Ofc the cm items will rise in price if people have a higher ingame income, add the exploit and here we go. It only takes 1 or 2 weeks of doing h2s quite excessively to get that amount of money. We could argue that BW overdid it this time but meh... that's the least of the problems this game has.

What would I do if I wanted the Tulak Hord set? I would buy the Nightlife pack when it's on sale.

Sure, the old packs are a better bargain if seen like this but the old packs aren't sold anymore, right? We have no clue when they will be back if ever and as seen with the gold packs, people will buy them. That's an argument that has been proven to not be supported by people.

We don't even know how likely a silver armour drop is within the Cubes code. It will give one random item from any previous pack. That includes mounts as well as emotes/regeneration abilities and pets. You're really increasing the chance of ending up with a less valuable item.

I was actually thinking about the silver tiers in the new packs, not the cubes. Since bronze is gone, they are free to use their less desirable designs for silver now.
