that new The Last of Us show sucks and so does all TV these days really

One of the potentially really cool shots was when the initial outbreak happens you are seeing the daughter's POV from the backseat of the car (like in the game!) and it's trying to do the one sustained shot gimmick, but it cuts to another shot then GOES BACK to the one take shot. Like, no you blew it when you cut away. The amount of coordination to have people run in one direction or another isn't exactly a Boogie Nights or Goodfellas level of spinning plates and choreography either.

The sets look really cheap and it's really apparent it's a backlot they dressed up to be a post apocalypse ghetto. The one set in Boston I liked was when Joel cut in line to ask the radio guy about Tommy. The guy's apartment office full of radio equipment and parts felt kind of Mad Max in a cool way.

Someone posted here that they really liked it and I'm glad people can get excited for stuff like this, but it makes me sad that tv and movies feel like they are degrading in quality.
