Painting With

So this has been a roller coaster of a week. This leaked, I've been listening to it non stop, and my CD came in today. I'm on the "critics give it way too much shit" side of the album, as I love it and is so far my favorite album of the year.

However, I decided to take a look at the lyrics today, and this is an album made for doing drugs or having fear. Doing drugs AND having fear! I mean, you could interpret the lyrics in Hocus Pocus as a drug song by its word choices, Vertical involves fear (and sounds like a drug sound depending on how you interpret the parking lot), Natural Selection/On Delay/Spilling Guts/Summing The Wretch/Recycling all seem to reference either one or both things. That being said, I'm just a suburban teenager in Nevada who knows nothing of the outside world, so I'm probably wrong.

Anyways, can someone take drugs and listen to this to confirm it? Thanks. 9.5/10

The Life of Pablo

I don't have much to say about this album like Painting With, so yeah. This is such a mess, a terrible mess. There are some really good songs on here, but it just lacks consistency. I honestly cringed once that bleached asshole line came on, and it was hard to sit through some of the album. Kind of disappointed, but hey, at least I didn't dread it. 5/10

Seth Bogart

Currently listening to this right now, so I don't have a fully formed opinion, but it's...quite a surprise. I didn't have high expectations entering into this, but with an 8.0 from Pitchfork, I had a feeling it wouldn't be that terrible. And it isn't. It's the typical garage album from a west coast band, and I love west coast garage, so this is an enjoyable listen. ---/10
