Why? What is the purpose of bringing gender fluidity into this game? We're playing animated characters, of both genders, whom you can swap between at will. You really need more gender fluidity than that? I mean, at this point it seems like you're just injecting gender emphasis into Warframe for the hell of it, it doesn't even serve a purpose.
How do you animate that? How do you explain that in the lore? What purpose could a combat-oriented bio-machinal being possibly have for swapping genders depending on what power they happen to be using? I mean, from a purely practical standpoint that's just extra energy and time being wasted while my character model suddenly grows a penis for absolutely no reason.
I have a hard time reconciling why this would be a good idea in any capacity. If it's good for anything, it's to appease fuckwads like Anita Sarkeesian who have no business involving themselves in the gaming industry in the first place. I defy anyone to tell me that a move like this wouldn't put the SJW crowd in an uproar no matter how it was handled. You can't please either side of that idiotic debate, so why are we trying to give these polarizing, opinionated, actively harmful groups reason to put our community under the microscope? Warframe has already been attacked at least once by the SJW crowd over differences between the male and female characters, when they made unfounded and untrue accusations about how the female characters were fragile healer classes designed to be dainty supportive flowers for the male characters. Bitch, my Mag, Nova, or Nyx will be happy to come over there and rip your fucking world asunder regardless of how you choose to identify yourself sexually. Don't get confused, Warframe is not a game with gender bias any more than games like LoL.
Look, I'm no huge fan of either side of gamergate or SJW stuff, I don't really give a shit. I'm busy trying to earn a living, keep myself happy, provide for my loved ones as best I can, and enjoy my life. If that villifies me to either the gamergate community or the SJW community, I could give a rat's ass. I have better things to do. Let's just not start making an active effort to drag this gaming journalism bullshit into every single game that is being actively developed.
