NHMS sponsorship concerns?

NHMS has a lot of problems, but boring isn't one of them. There is plenty of on-track action, and the races are shorter than most which lends a sense of urgency to them. And, as Joey Logano can tell you, one single fuck-up can have a variety of implications. I used to like going there, but have given it a miss in previous years, though.

The biggest problem that they have is that the facility is built upside down. The track is nice and close to Route 106, but the lion's share of the parking is up the hill, past the backstretch. This necessitates a long walk for nearly everyone who has grandstand tickets. Then, there's the problem of the two-lane road in and out of the track (well, they fake it out to three lanes, but that just moves the bottleneck down the road). Also, the tickets are a bit pricey, considering that the track stopped selling out years ago. In fact, they seem to have gone up (from $110 to $125 for the section I used to sit in)! These are not conducive to a good fan experience.

There's a lot to like about the place, and, when I was able to afford to go to 6-7 races a year, I liked NHMS a lot. But, when it was time to cut down, Loudon missed the cut.
