Ninja Assassin had one of the dumbest plot points I had ever watched in a movie. Ever.

My readers? I'm not writing a novel, I'm making jokes about a bad movie.

What the hell else would you call people reading what you wrote? Are they not your readers if they are reading something you wrote? They are reading, correct? Then they are readers. They don't need to be reading a novel to be considered readers of whatever it is they are reading.

I realized it wasn't an apt comparison but decided to leave it because I thought it'd be funny.

I guess I don't understand why including a paragraph that doesn't actually have much to do with your overall point is funny.

It's up to the writers to decide... if what they wrote was clever? What?

Did you not read the first part of what I quoted you saying?

They're not related

You said that, yes? That's not for you to decide, that's for the writer's to decide. You can't just go through life believing Luke and Leia aren't related, because they absolutely are in the canon that the creators made, regardless of how you feel about it.
