For those of us without access to a proper entertainment system/setup, moving a laptop onto the ground and then fishing for and moving the HDMI cable in the back around the bend to the laptop, just to make some weird squat whilst navigating Netflix on two screens, both at uncomfortable viewing angles from that position, to load up a show, and then having to hit the "are you still there" prompt again and again, never being comfortable for more than an hour or two at a time, is not an enjoyable experience, trust me. Now imagine having to do that EVERY TIME you want to watch Netflix and having to undo that EVERY TIME you want to use the laptop normally.

Now imagine being able to just turn on whatever console my roommates agreed is the "default console" (read: whichever sole one multiple college students can afford under piles of debt), navigating to the app, and being able to hang out, spend time with an SO, etc. all from the comfort of the couch.

Back home, in the house I grew up in, it's easy enough to have more than one console, a full speaker setup with auto input changes, etc. In those lifestyles, with a family and an established form of income, I totally recognize the redundancy of having four or five devices that all have Netflix, Hulu, etc. on them all next to each other.

I hope it's fair to recognize that (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong here) a fair percentage of households have one (or fewer) consoles; knowing that the "one console household X has runs Netflix" is much more preferred over the "I have way too many devices to run Netflix on", both in terms of spread and "first-world-problemness"..

TL;DR: It's a lot better to be over-abundant with Netflix availability than limited in it.
