Ubisoft, facing "surprisingly slower" sales, has canceled three unannounced games (on top of the four cancelled in July), planning $200 million in cost reduction including "natural attrition" and "divesting of non-core assets"

I think it’s a really smart move of them to ”split up” the AC series into two different genres, that they recently announced. One that is based on the old school AC games (AC Mirage, set in 800AD baghdad) and one that is like todays RPG games (AC Project Red, set in feudal Japan), developed by separate teams.

That way they can both cater to those who miss the old games and those who like the current RPG ones. I feel like I’m the only one who really enjoyed both the old games and the new… So it will definitely be interesting to see what they will make of this, or perhaps how hard they fuck up? We’ll see lol, wont preorder shit that’s for sure
