Nintendo to Launch Two New Switch Models

Ok, I will put my 2 cents here.

I see some changes, but more on the processor and GPU. Both models will use a 12 nn chip with an octocore design, just like the switch but with different clock rates.

Now, about the models...

  1. Nintendo Switch Lite: the easiest to predict. Is just the Switch with the new chip and some cut features.

Some Technical Specs:

  • CPU: 1.6 Ghz ARM A75 + 1.6 Ghz ARM A55. Both clusters are quads

  • GPU: nVIDIA Pascal based with 256 cores. 337 Mhz undocked and 750 Mhz docked.

  • 4GB RAM and 64 GB ROM

  • HD screen and now can run at 30FPS/60FPS without hicups.

Price: 199 dollars. Since some functions are cut down, the price might go down too.

  1. Nintendo Switch Power: better materials, maybe an AMOLED screen and more battery. Also might include new functions.

Some Technical Specs:

  • CPU: 2.5 Ghz ARM A75 + 2.2 Ghz ARM A55. Both clusters are quads.

  • GPU: nVIDIA Pascal based with 512 cores. 475 Mhz undocked and 1 Ghz docked. Expecting to be as powerful than the GPU of the iPad Pro from previous year.

  • 8GB RAM and 128 GB ROM

  • FHD screen and now can run at 60FPS without hicups up to Full HD or even 30FPS at 4K.

Price: 399 dollars. They can ask for a premium since it might be really powerful mobile device.
