[No Spoilers] Don't Hate Us - We Don't Love Exandria Unlimited (Yet?)

In all honesty, I'm disappointed in ExU. The marketing put quite a bit of effort into hyping this up as something great, like a true mini-Critical Role campaign, and it's just... not that. It isn't bad, but it doesn't live up to the promise. If the main games are an "A" then this is a solid "B-". There are a bunch of different individual reasons I could point to (everyone seems to be a Chaotic Stupid character, multiple seemingly unrelated plot hooks, lack of purpose for the party) but the end result is it has just totally failed to hook my interest. I'm glad that the cast is enjoying things, and I would be very interested in seeing some of the new guys in the main game (Robbie especially) but it isn't for me.

Campaign 2 is what inspired me to start DMing my own game. I have a table of 5 for like six months now and my players love it. If my first exposure to CR had been ExU instead of Campaign 2, I would have passed on D&D and would probably be painting Warhammer minis right now instead.
