Noah's ark makes no sense

Whether it makes sense to them or not, it's directly contradicted by the evidence. Somebody can say the flat earth model makes sense to them, that doesn't change the shape of the planet.

and that's what makes something literal for me. I'm not a Christian so currently I don't believe anything supernatural has ever happened on earth. supernatural like walking on water etc etc.

Try to look at scenarios you understand to be literal or not literal and break down how you made that determination. Once you have a base idea, consider what you can do to improve it.

if we're talking about the bible then the parts that I don't believe are literal are just everything that isn't realistic and requires belief/faith.

but my problem here is just because I read something as literal doesn't mean it is. I could be wrong. so when it does come to the bible (or any religious text) I ask people what they think and then just come to my own conclusions.
