This Is 'Not Fine': New Evidence Of Russian Interference Meets Inaction, Frustration

I'm a Dane. When I ask my American friends and random Americans online why the hell they're not out protesting, it's partly because it's literally inconcievable that a West European country would allow a guy like Trump - and a party as corrupt as the Republicans - to stay in power. We hold massive demonstrations for relatively minor stuff like showing support for public sector trade unions during their annual negotiations with the government.

The excuse I often hear from Americans is "Yeah, well, I can't afford to lose my job/We can't take as much time off work as you guys in Europe can". Then demonstrate after work. Call in sick for a day or two. Donate to advocacy campaigns or Democrat campaigns. Call your local politicians. Write to businesses that run ads on Fox News or Breitbart. Just do something - anything - besides bitching in an echo chamber where no one who matters will hear you, hoping/assuming that it'll all work out in November.

And as an aside, the very fact that you're afraid to say the word 'revolution' in public out of fear of being placed on a watchlist by the authorities is incredibly fucked up. That's not normal, even if you've gotten used to it.

All of this isn't a RussiaBot divisive talking point. Western Europeans generally love Americans and the US (occasional political differences aside). The reason why we're mad at you is the same reason you'd be mad at a close family member harming themselves or staying in an abusive relationship.
