Back in 2012, when the EDM scene was still evolving, a buddy of mine got a party bus together for the seniors at our high school for this huge Halloween themed concert called Freaky Deaky. 18 year old me thinking 'oh BYOB ill bring a bottle of grapefruit absolute to split with my buddy and I'll be good'. dead wrong. my buddy hated it and while on the way to the concert I been drinking it at a pretty fast pace all by myself. No one is looking at how much each person is drinking so no one even told me to slow down. we arrive at the venue and I see that I still have a fourth of the bottle left. I look around and ask does anybody want the rest of this bottle? All of a sudden a random voice yells out "I dare you to finish it pussy". Dumbass me decides to make another stupid decision that night and chug the rest of the bottle.

So within a 40-45 min commute I drank an entire bottle of absolute to myself when I didn't even really drink much is high school. As I finish the bottle I stand up for the very first time from when I sat down. I fell face first against the floor. Friends pull me up and tell me to keep it together till we got inside. As security is patting us down one of them asks for me to take my shoes off to check for contraband. when I lean back over to put my shoes back on I once again tip over face first. My friends are standing there cringing at me bc this is all happening in front of hundreds of people. Whatever though I got in. I immediately black out for the next 5 hours (which I never thought was an actual thing till that day ) and puke so much I started to puke blood. After some time I came to my senses and slowly started to sober up and finally ended the night by getting IHOP at 430 am.

Till this day I gag every time I see an absolute bottle or smell it. The sad part is that I'm Russian and now when I go out to bars with friends I have to explain this story every fucking time on why I will not throw down on a bottle of vodka or take shots of it.
