Sorry, these arguments that it isn’t harder aren’t silly. The arguments that masks are any impairment are pure bullshit. I say this as an emergency physician and critical care specialist who has worn these masks for years nearly every day and it’s never been a problem. This includes having to restrain violent agitated patients (and unlike the cops we somehow don’t seem to ever need to use deadly force when we’re getting punched, kicked, bitten, and spit at) - a mask has only protected me and never harmed me. This includes invasive procedures and having to move 400+ lbs patients with my colleagues. As part of doing my responsibility to help our society combat this pandemic I wear a mask when I go running, it hasn’t made my 5k or 10k runs any more difficult. People want to make excuses out of selfishness and unable to tolerate any minimal sacrifice they may endure that are going to benefit others.
