As an ex RNZIR and ex public servant I have met both Key and Ardern in official capacities, and worked with both. John is a slippery mother fucker, deserving of the nick name "the smiling assassin", Jacinda is extremely nice and well meaning, but perhaps not possessed of the solid metal core that characterized Helen Clarke whom I respected immensely for her iron will but not necessarily all her policies (and I'm not talking about Civil Unions here, I helped pass that shit in a bureaucratic capacity)

I don't really have an opinion on politics these days as I opted out of such a life a long time ago. But i wanted to say it at least once. Just so folks can hear from someone what saw it up close. Now I build theater sets for Opera and Ballets, and I no longer feel dirty when I sleep. BTW go to the RNZB, its pretty good, even for plebs like me.
