Ohio child cancer survivor kills herself over bullying

Well, the hot coffee case was actually legit. It's sad that it's a poster child for frivolity when it's actually an exact representation of how tort suits are supposed to help people. The woman was served a dangerous product, despite the location being told to fix their shit several times and even then only wanted money to pay for the bills to fix her third degree burns. It only went to court when the giant multibillion dollar juggernaut that is McDonald's told her to pound sand. She deserved every penny, or at minimum McDonald's deserved to take the hit as a warning to others. That's why the legal system and lawyers exist: they're a valuable resource for the common man to stand against big companies and/or government agencies and fuck anybody who tries to tell you otherwise.

But I do agree with the other poster. Lawyers with a constant history of bringing up obviously frivolous cases that get dismissed just do nothing but waste court resources and have no business practicing law. Fuck those parasites.
