Why on earth is FBAA recommended after reading ACOTAR??

If someone asks "give me smutty recs" I will throw ACOTAR and FBAA there because let's be honest, many people read it for the smut, not for great plot or character arcs.

If you like ACOTAR not for smut but for other reasons, you should state that, because the assumption is always there. If you for example read it because of fae, then for example These Hollow Vows or The Cruel Prince would be a rec, but I've seen several people complain that they didn't like TCP because not enough romance / smut or the protagonist is unlikeable. So yeah, there's fae, but there's also that.

My personal opinion about FBAA is that someone wanted to do a remix of Twilight and ACOTAR and apparently it sold. Contrary to for example Lightlark that was ACOTAR / TOG / Hunger Games remix and people didn't like it as much. Imo both of these are derivative and deliberately trying to catch a specific kind of audience I'm not really a part of (I'm not interested in either impossibly beautiful girls or girls all men chase because idk they release sexual pheromones or something; also not a fan of possessive love interests).

Gild and Rhapsodic are both self-pubs and you can bet people also read these for the smut, not for the plot.

Tbh if you're a plot > smut reader, ignore 90% of tik tok recs.
