Wow, sounds like a typical government ran PsyOp to lobby the pro-gun movement to me.
There are literally millions of cases like this, a guy with a gun- and in this case one mag. In any other civilised country with gun laws and reforms; take Australia for example- wasn’t too long ago after Port Arthur that the government went:
“Right, no more guns. Can’t be trusted”
And how did the Australian populace react? How did the only country on par with guns per capita (yes even today, Australians have shit tonnes of guns. For hunting in the outback):
They all went; “nah yeah that sounds fair. “ AND THAT WAS IT.
But coincidently at the hive of PsyOp Central aka US of A baby; y’all seem to have some crazy movements being perpetuated by standard PsyOps. And it’s fascinating being an outsider because as far as I can tell- you are an American who at least somewhat enjoys conspiracy’s or the notion at minimum- and yet you too are blindfolded by them. those who are “awake” are still “asleep”. But that’s another topic on its own.
Apropos your question to “gun grabbers” id like to draw another line from the Australian continent.
To this day, There are actually MORE guns per person than before port Arthur. What can this tell us? Well a few things. Most importantly however- and I hope this is somewhat parallel to your fear (not being able to defend yourselves like the rest of the human race) The most important thing we get from the contrast of port Arthur’s movement of gun control and how guns per person have risen dramatically, whilst incidents have subsided incredibly to almost 1 every 5-10 years (unlike the land of freedom which is boasting 45 school shootings this fucking year alone.)
The important thing we get from this is that it’s not about taking away the guns, it’s about recognising it and treating the matter as if it’s a disease. Which it is. The entire notion that you need a motherfucking assault rifle or any gun for that matter- to live life; is simply terrible and quite frankly sad to hear. And I don’t mean that condescendingly. It truly is.
I digress, one way the government could implement gun-control in such an overtly pro-gun country; would be to increase on psych Evals, toughen up permits, do a recount on all weapons and add all citizens who are willing to come forward and admit they own a firearm, which they of course do with permits (hopefully), and they can be added to a new register.
Essentially retest the populace for psych evals and reports. If you want to give your guns, fine so be it. But prepare to offer up some freedom for that high-powered ak-40 freedom.
I’m actually pro-take the guns away and look- if y’all purge then y’all purge. It’ll prove The rest of the word right- that a majority of America is just absolutely bonkers and a lost cause. But I don’t think you guys are so far gone, just yet. I think some real legislative work needs to be put in motion. Just reading that statistic, it’s basically a school shooting every week. The only places that this happens anywhere else on the planet is war torn countries. And with the help of Uncle Sam, well.
Anyway- I truly do digress. Each to their own. But if the two movements could meet halfway and proposes an entire recount and a new gun register with intense psych evals. Obviously more will need to be done, but atleast that way those who own for the right reasons will continue to do so- and those who don’t want to abide by the rules can remain vigilant and do so in secret. I’ve looked over my shoulder for too long in my life, trust me. It’s a terrible burden to have.
I truly hope a peaceful resolve will come of this for you Americans. It’s a shame to see what was such a great country slowly being churned into something ugly.
