The ones that received their Walmart SMM game, Classic Mario and Gold Mario bundle. Were you able to return SMM game and Classic Mario?

The people at the walmart near me were assholes. I did ship to store pickup, and when I opened the box the 8bit mario was crushed to death. So I figured I would go straight to the service desk to make sure they didn't think I crushed it. The packing slip showed this as a single purchase, not individual items, so I was a little nervous, but having worked at walmart previously I knew that at the very least I could get store credit as a "no receipt" return. So I figured I would press my luck and try to also return the game.

Having just walked up with the packing box still in hand I handed the 8bit amiibo and the game to the lady, said I had just picked them up and I wanted to return them. She looked at the packing slip and said ok, no problem. She then opened the game. Mario maker comes in that box before the actual plastic of the game case so I figured she was just checking that the booklet was there and the game was sealed. She immediately broke the plastic of the game and checked if the disc was in it. I didnt' care because she said she could return it.

So she started to scan the items and it came up not on receipt. She looked at the packing slip and said "SOrry, we can't return individuals, only the whole bundle." I was not giving up my gold mario... So I said, ok, can I just return it without receipt for store credit? "No, we have a $50 limit for no receipt returns and also we don't sell these items in store."

I said, "Yes you do, ring them up and you will see they show up" so she rang them up and sure enough, they both showed up in the system with pricing. "Oh, well you got a special pricing on the bundle so we can't give you the credit" and I said "Well if you check the prices and add them up, you'll see I actually paid MORE than the store prices for the bundle" By this point a CSM had come up and was saying the same thing. I had to explain it about 3 times after they called an assistant manager. So finally I was frustrated, I was just going to take my stuff and call walmart.com for the crushed up amiibo and try to sell the game, but WAIT! The associate opened the game and now it's a "Used" game! I said, "Fine, then give me a new game since your associate opened it." the assistant manager, who insisted there was no way they could return it, looked at me, looked at the game, looked at the associate, and rang both the amiibo and game up and handed me a gift card for the no receipt return.

It was so embarrassing and frustrating. They tried to screw me over and were so ill-informed about what their store sells. I will never order amiibos from Walmart.com again, and will definitely never have anything shipped to that Walmart.

So for those who haven't gotten it yet, don't bring the receipt with you if you try to return and individual item, they wont do it, or they'll be jerks about it.
