Only two years ago the stupidest people you’d ever heard of were flat earthers.

Umm, there are also things like time zones (which modern technology will even let you livestream from the other side of the planet where it's dark), photographs of the Earth from space, testimony from astronauts, descriptions in textbooks of the "rotating pendulum" experiments, the tie-ins with gravity/astronomy/relativity, etc. etc.

Yes there are those things. I agree with you.

You don't need to do your own measurements or construct your own Foucault's pendulum to accept that the Earth is round and the heliocentric model. You do have to disregard countless models, research, and personal anecdotes from numerous people and assume every single one of them is lying to you... to believe in a flat Earth.

This is true. Flat earthers indeed assume they are all liars. They make that very clear.

Flat Earthers are monumentally arrogant conspiracy theorists; your position here is false equivalency. I do agree that someone who comes around from it should be welcomed back to reality and not deliberately tormented/ostracized, but they should absolutely feel ashamed of themselves for it and it's not anyone's responsibility to relieve them of that shame.

I don't think they are arrogant, I just think they are wrong. I don't know what false equivalency is but it sounds interesting. My position is to move on and be nice to people for whatever their beliefs are. You can be mad at the youtubers publishing false information, I get that.
