Overkill and Completely Overkill pack release: Discussion Thread

As you are repeating your arguments, so will I. Number one. I specifically wrote it as the half life three of out community, implying it was on a smaller scale. Please don't skim read my walls of text.

What a horrible comparison. You are way off base with this.

Number two. I put has been expected for over a year. Not developed. Just because something is wanted doesn't mean people will start creating it. Overkill have been focusing on DLC and community events rather than infamy.

6 moths ago, Almir said they were putting off releasing new infamy levels so they could add something cooler than just cosmetics. 6 months. In 6 months, the community suggested countless ideas. 6 MONTHS later we get nothing but cosmetics.

Number three. They have pushed it out early as to avoid further backlash. If they organised it as a surprise, they would be torn apart.

They've had over a freakin year to come up with something, anything better than this they were by NO means rushed? Anyways, it's not like they're making new animations. It's one of the simplest additions they've been asked to do.

Number four. Buzzwords, why? "Corporate agenda" seems pretty vague.

"the community" "Half life three" "appease" "steam forums" "Vocal minority"

You're a hypocrite. Straight up.

Number five. As I said, we have an estimated release date of the files and such.

The entire point is that they still haven't delivered yet. Not when their promise for delivery is.

Number six. The community has power over what is released. If we don't buy it, they won't make it. Obviously it is being bought as it is being created constantly.

Yeah, some people are still buying it. Hopefully we can get to them an help them understand the implications. I completely agree that OK puts out content to make money.

Number seven. Terrible design is opinion.

What a useless thing to say.

Number eight. Busy weekend= hype train content and hotline Miami 2 content preparations.

Over a year to work on this. Promises it would be more than masks 6 mothns ago. A weekend is 2 days. How is this not obviously a bad excuse.

Sorry to come of as snarky and condescending, but I felt that this was the easiest way to get my points across. Again, I AM NOT BLAMING THE COMMUNITY,

"Of the issues I've seen, people just seem to ignore the alternatives."

" no one forced you to buy it day 1"

"No offense to people who were legitimately going to get a refund, but it just seems that people are expecting the video game equivalent of Jesus every time they announce something."

"What is appears to be is overkill trying to appease the community over and over, and each time people complain."

" People complain about it as it is rushed"

"The backlash makes them push more content out the door which people are again aggravated by"

"The community replies "ITS TOO HARD, BONNIE IS UGLY, I DONT LIKE OPTIONAL DLC". OVK release infamy? "ITS RUSHED, I DONT LIKE THE MASKS, ITS TOO EASY". OVK release the packs early? ".....I WANT A REFUND FOR PRODUCTS I CHOSE TO PAY FOR""

"But instead they try to give people what they want and it's spat back in their faces."

"I hate to be a part of the anti steam forums circle jerk but it seems it has started seeping over into the sub reddit. honestly, people should be happy that they are being released at all, with the Amount of complaints. I expect that the enemy will be released, and people will complain that it doesnt come with a season pass to all future DLC's, 5 tonnes of gold bullion and a life size Dragan body pillow. Can't people be happy with what they get? This is a classic example of people over hyping an update and being disappointed with what they get. "

Again, YOU ARE A FLAMING HYPOCRITE. You are completely blaming this on the community, and it's sick dude. Honestly, do you read over your OWN posts?

I simply think that people have been careless and expect too much. I will continue to play the game where I rob banks and buy content I like, as for other people I do not mind, I just like the game and support its developers. I never said they were angelic, but I think that they are not the source of all problems.

"My brain can't understand why people can complain so constantly despite a company trying to appease them so often and directly."

Jesus, start a cult already.
