Panic as Kosovo pulls the plug on its energy-guzzling bitcoin miners

You're forgetting another point. As the climate warms, it does so exponentially.

The permafrost in northern climates releases an unbelievable amount of methane (far worse than CO2). That speeds up warming.

As the glaciers retreat, we lose the reflective white surface Thad t reflects a lot of thermal energy back away from the planet (albedo effect). Causing more heat to stay in the atmosphere and be absorbed by the surface of the planet.

As the temperature heats up, more forests (carbon sinks) burn and die.

As more forests burn and die, more soil is exposed to wind/weather which leads to desertification, which leads to loss of animal habitat, which leads to less pollinators and the ability for plants to spread.

If all of these things go too far, we will indeed be past a point of no return. We as a civilization will no longer have enough food to support us. End game.
