Im not picking sides but I simply want to give some food for thought. Many people are pro choice and frequently bring up rape in their argument just as you have.

statistically only 1% of reported rape victims who fall pregnant from the encounter get an abortion. There were 126258 reported rapes in 2018, but 3 out of 4 go unreported so that’s approximately 505032 rapes per year. let’s make the assumption all rape victims get pregnant just for the sake of the math on this post. So 1% of 505032 would be 5050 abortions due to rape. But there were 862000 abortions in 2018. So of all the abortions, abortions from rape make up .005 of the total number which is probably smaller since not all rape victims become pregnant from the encounter.
