My mother and I have had a horrible relationship ever since I was 14 for many reasons I'm not going to get into. She's also the type of person who over shares about everything.

When I was 17, she had a coworker, Steve, who's a piece of work. She'd talk to me about him, and she never said directly but I could tell she had feelings for him. One day, she told me that she's going to go see Steve one-on-one but my father can't know because he'd be mad. She made me promise to not tell my father.

I don't know if she wanted to get caught or if she's just stupid, because she knew I liked my father more than her. Of course I told my father.

A few days later at about 3am, my mother comes storming into my room, screaming at me, throwing things at me, calling me all sorts of names because I betrayed her trust. That was kind of the beginning of the end. My parents had never really had a good marriage, and I had been begging my father to leave her for years.

A few months later, my mother kicked me out (my dad tried to stop her, but I was more than happy to leave and not have to live with her anymore) and my parents are divorced now.
