I hung out with DMX once. He was doing a show in town and came to my local dive bear, it was quite and a bit country/punk-ish so I assume he wanted a place to hang out where people wouldn't bug him--which he got, nobody myself included recognized him and he got to hang out with his friends for the whole time he was there.

We hung out because it had an electronic dart board you could play without a partner which I would regularly play. He approached me and asked how to play. I showed him and then he lost interest, hung out with his friends a bit, and then left. Best part of the night was how a half hour after he left a number of very trendily-dressed hipsters showed up and hung out for a bit obviously looking for him.

He was an incredibly open and chill guy, very warm and friendly. I can't imagine being that famous and just walking up to people and ask them to teach you a shitty bar game, but he did with the air of a guy that could easily become an old friend. A bit flighty though, as nice as he was he definitely just walked away halfway through our game and didn't think twice about it.
