People under 30 who already managed to save 100k, how did you do it?

A question from a curious European redditor for my American friends: why do you consider living with your parents after high school that shameful? I know that usually you move for college and then you don't come back, you rent an apartment, eventually marry and start a mortgage and so on, but at the end it seems like you end up with a huge amount of debt between student loans and the mortgage and you need years to work your ass off and become debt free. Why wouldn't you stay with your parents while you pay your debt off so you can start saving earlier and live objectively life with less worries?

In Europe a lot of people stay with their parents until they graduate (which is around 26 more or less) and while I get that living alone has a lot of advantages, staying with your parents seems easier for every party involved.
