People who feel like you get paid to sit around and do nothing all day, what is your actual job?

I do, but I'm not comfortable stating my employer. All I will say is that it really sucks. I had to take a medical leave for a couple of months so the work I had was redistributed among coworkers and interns. When I went back late last year I was supposed to pick up where I left off, or at least get a new workload, but they have not given me much to do yet

This is pretty typical of my employer. Nothing happens or changes quickly. I keep asking for more work and my manager is listening. They are getting ready to assign me a big project as well as help out on existing projects (I have been working there for 30 years so I have a ton of experience and knowledge). So I'm not worried about my job.

But sitting around doing nothing all day really, really sucks ass. I have better things to do with my time than stare at a computer screen going through the same data every day. It's a very long day and when I sign off from work I'm both tired, bored, and feel kind of low. When I was busy before my leave I left work feeling happier and had more energy
