People who grew up middle/upper class, what did you not believe about low income households but it was actually true?

Im sure inter-class communication is difficult in it’s own way. However that affects upward mobility. I’m talking about relying on your friends sister to drive you to your job when neither of you have emotional regulation and communication skills to get what you need from each other (without a fight, wasting energy, burning bridges, financial consequences, etc.). I know people who are just so bad at communicating with each other and spend a lot of time arguing about very very basic things like picking a kid up from daycare. It’s mind numbing. The rich can literally avoid interacting with dysfunctional people and/or already have the communication skills to interact in a more meaningful and effective way.
