What the best example of Malicious Compliance you've ever done or witnessed?

When I was working in cable construction in the 70s and the word came down from on high: NO OVERTIME!! Got ten minutes of work to do to finish this job, but that would put you in overtime? Come back tomrrow, do 90 minutes of setup, 10 minutes of work, and 90 minutes breakdown. Plus extra travel time to the next job.

Our foremen were losing their minds (they knew it was insane from the start), but couldn't do anything about it. A month goes by. Projects are behind schedule, commitments aren't being met, costs soared WAY beyond the overtime savings.

The policy was rescinded, albeit without all the fanfare and fooferaw which had accompanied its original implementation. Unlimited overtime - we're way behind and need to catch up.
