People who have had "friends" stab you in the back, what is the story?

Your argument is silly, because no one is saying the opposite. Parenting a 2 month old (for a father) isn’t “parenting for a while” let alone the amount of time anyone is talking about. If the child is under one year, it’s certainly more understandable to decide to part ways. That clearly wasn’t the case with OP which is why the discussion is not favoring those who could easily abandon a child who will remember them for life and whom they’ve made a bond with. Of course, some people will have bonded with a 2 month old and will find your perspective callous but not wrong, because realistically a 2 month old infant poops, sleeps, eats, and cries, and does most of that with their mother.
