When I drive, I don’t use my ears as much as I do my eyes. The only time I’d need my ears is if someone honked their horn and even then that sound will penetrate my headphones. Your eyes are whet you need to use on the road, check, double check , don’t just rely on your mirrors , know your blind spots. Texting while driving is very dangerous because it takes your eyes off the road, talking on the phone isn’t ideal but not seen as dangerous because you can still see the road. I don’t understand how all of a sudden using headphones is so fucking dangerous, plenty people drive with loud ass music , can’t hear anything outside the car. People listen to talk radio loudly as well, I guess we shouldn’t do that either. Anything that obstructs your eyes is dangerous as hell, music in headphones, are not as crazy as people are making it out to be.
