People who owns driving license without automobiles, what’s your story?

The fortunate thing about obtaining a driving licence in Singapore is that it does not expire - the cost of learning how to drive (lessons) only will go up over time. (Some other places require renewal every now and then with a fee regardless)

Plus you never know how useful having the licence can be in the future - I am currently based overseas for full-time studies and while I am currently still not in need to own a car I can worry just about the car ownership process if the need arises in the near future, all I needed was to convert the SG licence to the licence at the state I am based at most of the time, and it's been 10+ years since getting the SG licence.

Meanwhile my use has been limited to occasional use of the BlueSG cars and the rare occasion that the family car is available since everyone else in the household is overseas (and I happen to be in SG).
