People who have visited the US, what is your 'WTF America' story?

Get in touch with reality? So you guys expect me to believe that American citizens in the military would fire on other American citizens en masse? I just don't buy that. Soldiers, seamen, Marines, and airmen all take an oath to defend the Constitution from all threats foreign and domestic. I don't remember seeing "killing Americans is okay" anywhere in the Constitution. And "I was just following orders" is not a valid excuse, as evidenced in the Nuremberg trials. I just don't buy the idea that Americans would kill other Americans in that way if it ever came to that, especially a class of people such as active duty military. Hell, lots of them would probably just join the resistance. [Disclaimer: this is all obviously hypothetical. I do not believe this will happen now or any time soon.]

It's funny that you think you're in touch with reality , before describing the most stupid way of making a military coup ever.

Open a fucking history book, or just look at your TV, if you can make millions vote for fucking trump, you can organize a military dictatorship and have the population support it.

I mean, where did you spent the last 15 years ? Did you miss the patriot act and all the insanely authoritarian laws that have been put in effect ? The US population has never been so weak against their government, government that is the most experienced in the world to twist info, organize coups, and create propaganda to make a population go against its own interests.

I don't believe in a coordinate insurgency happening at once, all over the US, from groups who hate each others. There could be pockets of resistance, but without explosives and such, like there is millions of tons in Afghanistan and other old warzones, they wouldn't stand a week.
