what makes you think higher teacher wage = lower wage for you?

You do know how taxes work right? Where do you think they are going to get this money for higher wages?

I never mentioned raising wages for other groups.

Teachers used to be volunteer. Teachers used to do the job not for money but for a better brighter future. Teaching isn't supposed to be a high paying job. It's a community service. A good teacher doesn't do it for the money. That's why SOME put in extra time and money into their classrooms. It's not out of necessity.
