ADMISSIONS MEGATHREAD 2019 v1: Post all your admissions questions here!

Hey guys I’m just looking for some advice. I will be applying next year and I’m currently in grade 12. I was hoping to take a class in summer school to lower my work load. Right now I’m choosing between English 12 or Bio 12. With English 12, I’ve heard it’s not too hard in summer school and I know some not so great English writers who have gotten 90s. I don’t really care about that, as I don’t think it can be a big difference between summer classes and regular school. My main concern is this will be the final time writing a provincial exam which is worth 40% of my mark. Starting next year in school, I won’t have to write a provincial exam and only write a literacy assessment which is not counted towards the class grade. I don’t want to put myself at a disadvantage by writing the provincial if it’s not mandatory, as a 20% discrepancy leads to UBC only using the provincial. Which would you recommend Bio or English?
