Thanks for your input. Everything Kody does is performative and kind of gross, so for the sake of argument let’s take him out of the equation for now.

Do you consider the holiday itself sacred? Or just the religious rituals?

In the Christian Wesleyan (kind of Protestant) church I grew up in, we often celebrated Jewish tradition. It was acknowledged that without Hanukkah there would be no Christmas. We did some joint community projects with the local temple. Obviously the Jewish people we were with didn’t have a problem with our way of worship, but do other Jewish people really care if someone celebrates Hanukkah (without being performative or weird about it)?

My local Walmart always has Hanukkah wrapping paper and sells Menorahs. We don’t have a large Jewish population here though. Just FYI for next year if they don’t have it local Walmart.com may have it.
