I’m curious too! Not sure why people assume that Mariah holds the same opinions on polygamy and Kody as they did early on. They’ve changed so much! Just based on what they post on Instagram they seem very progressive. I’m sure that they see that Kody is a total POS. They seem closer to Meri overall. Remember last season when Kody didn’t even see Mariah and Aubrey because they didn’t let him know they were leaving for Utah?

I could also see Mariah detaching from their parents’ relationship in general. It doesn’t seem like either Meri or Kody were great parents to them. As someone who has parents who have been very up and down, when my mom has called to talk about my dad, I’m usually like “okay cool, don’t wanna hear about it!” Neither Meri or Kody are super honest about their relationship, IMO. Kody is way worse, but if I was their kid, I’d want to stay out of it.
