Is this policy too heavy handed?

My post also got removed, due to careless keyboard habits. Damn -.-

Regarding Skyrim mods:

The one You quoted is perfectly fine. If devs explain what it does and it's clear, then I have no issues. It still requires people to actually read ToS (which these days rarely happens), and it requires that people understand what "reading/editing RAM" means (because just by blindly remembering that "reading RAM" might get one banned, it's still common sense to believe that modding single-player Skyrim shouldn't affect other games). To voice my concerns better I would have to find Skyrim mod that doesn't provide enough information about editing RAM and bans my Smite account. But I'm too lazy and don't have resources to try that.

B) and C):

It's true that the "drama" part in reddit dramas are not constructive, but I still think that with amount of people going "I don't know what got me banned, I don't have anything that breaks ToS" it's somewhat justified to have concerns. What if someone actually got banned for doing nothing wrong? What if there's actually something wrong? Sure, probability of that happening is extremely low, but it's still possible. And I for one wouldn't like to find out that my account got flagged for cheating, I lost money I put into this game, I have no idea how that happened and all I'm getting from Support is "you broke section blablabla, cheating, etc. ban is permanent". It has a lot to do with mentality of people playing Smite. It was introduced as new kind of MOBA, God Pack was a really awesome deal and everyone who bought it (and continued to support this f2p game) feels like they "carried it out of beta" so to speak. So seeing even one such supporter get banned for no reason (or unjustly) and left to rot is something that shouldn't happen, no matter what. It's true I can't be sure if everyone whining about ban isn't just lying, but if there's a chance they're not, then we have a problem.

D):

That's too big issue to discuss I'm afraid. Technically everything You do is in some way only an opinion. "Facts" are just opinions that most people agree on. If You, as a software engineer, were to take apart some complex program, You could tell what it's supposed to do based on what You learned. What You learned are other people opinions they assumed as facts (it makes a little less sense when it comes to software engineering due to environment limitations) and You act based on these opinions. I mean it's not impossible that every software engineer might be wrong due to believing some #1 rule someone created. which turns out to be false after all. See? That's how skeptical I am. And still after seeing only about 30-40 reports of unjust bans I consider the possibility that something might be wrong. And with all kinds of biased media and manipulation in both TV and internet, I don't see how anyone's credibility (be it a redditor or billion-dollar company) can be taken for granted. Google spies on us, Facebook spies on us, most of internet sites plant trackers in our browsers, so some big anti-virus company might as well lie, make mistakes, etc.

Also, you shouldn't be afraid of having your opinion "attacked". That is how the world moves forward. Being wrong is only a problem if one either doesn't want to know if one is right (which again is my main complaint here on this thread) or if one doesn't want to fix the problem once they are shown wrong.

I just got the impression that Your post was all like "I'm gonna discuss stuff here, and here, and here... Oh... I'm near the end. Now it's time to tell him his opinion is biased pile of lies and bullshit". Don't think that was the intention, that's just how it seemed to me.

But also, don't let that bluntness mask the truth, you really are jumping to conclusions without enough information...

As I said - I don't think I'm jumping to anything. Not sure if it appears so in my posts, but in my mind I don't have anything that's 100% true regarding this matter. All I'm doing is assuming people complaining about the bans are not lying (because however probable that scenario is, I think cheating on purpose and claiming to not be aware of what happened is pointless and so many people wouldn't waste their time lying). Guess I'm perfectionist, who's really concerned about any kind of unjustice or wrongdoing. On a theoretical level at least.
