Mono people aren't interested in forming the kind of connection I need unless they are in a committed mono relationship. E.g.. Mono person would go on a few dates, sleep with someone a couple of times relationship ends, they put themselves back in the dating pool, rinse repeat until they find their one special person, maybe they have a few one night stands, or drunk hook ups at parties. The idea of being physically intimate with someone who I have only known for a few dates, maybe a evening is alien to my mind, I would experience no sexual attraction to them. However if I find a person aesthetically attractive and I have been friends with them 6+ months, we have a lot in common and get along well, share some common interest, I might experience sexual attraction to them. I might ask the person if the attraction is mutual if they would like to have sex. On occasion without committing ourselves to the relationship escalator that mono relationships normally work on. We would not be in a committed relationship, we would be friends who have sex sometimes, therefore they could have other relationships sexual or otherwise and I would be free to do the same. I'm not a horn bag obsessed with sex I have just found a different way to have the more casual sexual encounters that most people want to experience.
