that’s why I said it’s a shitty rule. It’s been in football for awhile now, and it’s shitty. Cause now clean, hard tackle like that are lumped into hits that the rule was suppose to stop. It’s been a complaint of every defensive player in college and NFL for a decade and has ruined the physicality of the sports.

I’m not necessarily disagreeing with you on that point, but the fact of the matter is that those kinds of things have been called for years. You have to be smarter and just pop him and let the QB fall on his own instead driving him into the turf.

A lot of well-coached teams have been told not to do that because of the risk of penalties. Our team makes that same fucking mistake repeatedly. It’s maddening.
